Everything about Logjam totally explained

Logjam is a music festival that has happened annually (bar 2004) in Minnesota since 2001. The White Iron Band has been the host every year, and they've recently brought in Trampled By Turtles and MJG productions to assist in running the festival. Logjam is a homegrown MN festival and serves as a great showcase for new local talent. The festival has a real sense of MN pride and is a great non-commercial venue for the music community to gather each summer and celebrate the great talent and variety of musicians.

Location

Logjams 2001-2005 were held at the Winton Rod and Gun Club in Winton, Minnesota. The rod and gun club is situated on Fall Lake, right near where an old saw mill once existed, hence the name 'Logjam'. After Logjam 2005 a decision was made to move to another location because Winton's location was too far from the Twin Cities to entice enough people to come to the shows. The move also had to do with a clash between fans and the Rod and Gun Management. During Logjam 2005, NORML (National Organization for the Reformation of Marijuana Laws) set up an informational booth and was kicked off the property. This left a bitter taste in a lot of mouths, and so a new venue was sought after.
Logjam 2006 found a home at Harmony Park Music Gardens in Geneva, Minnesota. The attendance grew considerably and the festival felt like it was growing up-- there were many more vendors and much better sound PAs; however, the high cost of renting Harmony Park left the concert promoters looking, again, for a new venue to hold Logjam.
Jack's on Mille Lacs in Isle, MN was the host for Logjam 2007. This was the biggest Logjam to date. This year saw the addition of a DVD production during the festival.
Logjam 08 is scheduled to occur June 19-21 again at Jack's on Mille Lacs.
